The European Union and the Agence Française de Développement have launched the second phase of the Green Mini-Grid Programme, aiming to provide renewable electricity access to over 100,000 Kenyans in underserved areas. This initiative comes as Kenya Electricity Transmission Company successfully energized the new 400kV Isinya–Konza Transmission Line and the Konza Substation, ensuring stable power supply for Konza Technopolis and the surrounding lower eastern region. Meanwhile, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority has slashed diesel prices by Sh10 and petrol by Sh0.22 in its latest monthly review, providing relief to motorists across the country.
