Political Leaders Condemn Goon Attacks at Rallies - June 2026
Kalonzo Musyoka, leader of the Wiper Patriotic Front, has strongly condemned the use of goons to disrupt peaceful political gatherings, accusing parts of the police service of failing in their duties. Kisumu County Commissioner Ramadhan Mwabudzo has issued a stern warning against the use of hired thugs during political gatherings in the county. In Kakamega, religious leaders and youth have strongly condemned the use of young people to incite violence at public rallies, blaming politicians for fueling such acts. These developments come amid heightened political tension as the country approaches the 2027 general election.
