On June 25, 355 individuals were apprehended during peaceful demonstrations commemorating the anniversary of two years ago, when youths were tragically killed. Two women were arrested last night in Mombasa during a candlelight vigil for Gen Z victims killed in protests. Mombasa County experienced a peaceful demonstration where participants began their activities with a prayer service remembering victims of protest-related violence. The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) is urging the government to ensure justice is served alongside compensation for victims of the recent Gen Z protests. Meanwhile, families of victims are still seeking justice and truth two years after the events.
