Local Organizing Committee Chairman Nicholas Musonye has urged for a comprehensive, government-wide approach to the preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts, Ababu Namwamba, has assured Members of Parliament that Kenya will be fully prepared to host AFCON in 2027. Separately, a Kenyan committee is being questioned regarding the country's readiness to host the tournament.
