The National Land Commission (NLC) is intensifying preparations for the expansion of the 83-kilometre Nyali Bridge-Mtwapa-Kwa Kadzengo-Kilifi (A7) highway by identifying additional land parcels for compulsory acquisition. This infrastructure development comes as Dangote Industries Limited has separately announced plans to build a new 700,000-barrel-per-day oil refinery in Kenya, significantly expanding its refining capacity across Africa. The Communications Authority of Kenya has also introduced a new licensing framework for digital courier platforms, set to take effect on July 29, 2026, as part of significant reforms to the country's logistics sector.
