The National Land Commission (NLC) is intensifying preparations for the expansion of the 83-kilometre Nyali Bridge-Mtwapa-Kwa Kadzengo-Kilifi (A7) highway by identifying additional land parcels for compulsory acquisition.

Additional parcels of land are being acquired for the dualling of the busy coastal road by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA).
Affected landowners face compensation inquiry hearings scheduled between August 14 and August 16 at various chiefs' offices.
The expansion aims to ease traffic congestion on one of the Coast's busiest transport corridors.
