The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) announced the placement of 293,869 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates for the 2026/27 academic year, with 202,133 set to take degree programmes. The Ministry of Education extended the university transfer window to one month, allowing more time for students placed by KUCCPS to make changes. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) opened registration for the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations, requiring candidates to complete the process online.
