The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the placement of 293,869 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates for the 2026/27 academic year.

• 202,133 students have been placed into university degree programs.
• The placement was announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba.
• The inter-institution transfer window has been extended to one month to allow students more time to change placements.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has opened registration for the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations. Candidates must complete the process online, with no manual applications accepted.

• The examination series will take place from November 16 to December 4, 2026.
• The registration process is managed by KNEC.
• Key administrative activities for training institutions, including the submission of Course Work Assessment (CWA) and project marks, are also triggered by this registration period, with a deadline of October 23, 2026 for CWA and project marks.

The Ministry of Education has extended the university transfer window to one month, allowing more time for students placed by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) to make changes.
