57,000 Students Miss University Placement as Digital Learning Expands - July 2026

Approximately 57,000 students in Kenya have missed out on university placement, according to the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). In contrast, the Kenyan government has accelerated the implementation of the digital learning program in public schools. Leaders in Kilifi are also strongly advocating for the Kenyan government to expedite the expansion of Malindi International Airport and ensure the timely opening of Ronald Ngala Utalii College.
