Kenyan security agencies have initiated a significant operation in Tana River to retrieve illegally held firearms. This comes amid ongoing protests nationwide and following 6 deaths in Bangale. The government has launched a major crackdown on illegal firearms in Tana River county, with an operation launched to hunt for illegal firearms and owners urged to surrender them voluntarily. The operation targets 123 illegal firearms in 11 areas across Tana River and Bangale.
