East African Legislative Assembly MP Kanini Kega was attacked while driving from Ol Kalou, with his vehicle reportedly attacked by police in Ol Joro Orok. He stated his life is in danger after the alleged shooting in Nyandarua and narrated the shooting incident, claiming he was being followed by alleged police. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen assured Olkalou residents that elections would be free, fair, and peaceful, while IEBC chairperson Erastus Ethekon stated the Ol Kalou parliamentary mini-poll would be free and fair. The government has implemented measures to ensure the Ol Kalou election is peaceful.
