EALA MP Kanini Kega was attacked and had his vehicle vandalised in Nyandarua County after attending a Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) rally. He alleges being pursued by armed police officers during the incident. In a follow-up report, Kega stated his life is in danger after the alleged shooting in Nyandarua. The attack occurred while he was driving from Ol Kalou, where the parliamentary by-election was underway. Civil society organisations subsequently raised alarm over escalating attacks targeting civic actors, highlighting the growing pattern of violence against political participants.
