Gachagua blamed Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for chaotic incidents that disrupted voting. The IEBC officially denied any involvement with masked and hooded men observed patrolling Ol Kalou during the ongoing mini-polls. Deputy President Gachagua accused the Kenyan Police Service and the IEBC of mishandling the Ol Kalou mini-election, alleging misuse of resources to instigate chaos.
