Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has deployed a newly trained 29-member Counter-Organised Immigration Crime Team (COICT) to combat human trafficking, migrant smuggling, and other cross-border organised crimes.

Police officers in Limuru faced a nine-hour ordeal on Friday morning when trying to book an unidentified body at Tigoni mortuary. The mortuary initially refused to accept the body, leading to a frustrating search for an alternative facility.

• The unidentified body was recovered in the Kamandura area along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway at approximately 1 am.
