Ruto, Mudavadi, Kindiki defend Kenya Kwanza amid political tensions - July 2026

President William Ruto attended the consecration of Rev. Vitalis Ekuru as the new Bishop of ACK Katakwa Diocese in Busia. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki called on the Mt Kenya region to maintain solidarity with the Kenya Kwanza administration. Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale stated that Ruto's only "crime" is his effort to unite Kenya by ensuring equitable development across all communities. Meanwhile, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi urged Luhyas living outside the Western region to register as voters in their current areas of residence and assured Kenyans of a peaceful, credible 2027 General Election.
