Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has defended its decision to fell mature acacia trees, which led to the displacement and death of nesting marabou storks, citing safety concerns.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced strict medical conditions for Kenyans and other foreign nationals seeking work or residence visas.

• All applicants must test negative for communicable diseases including HIV and tuberculosis (TB).
• Certain jobs, like domestic workers and food handlers, require additional testing for syphilis and Hepatitis B.
• Female domestic workers must also test negative for pregnancy.
