Chief Justice Martha Koome has strongly condemned judicial officials and elders involved in corruption within the justice system. Civil society organizations are demanding investigations into bribery claims during the Gachagua impeachment process, while coastal civil society groups are also seeking probes into alleged bribery related to the deputy president's removal. Gachagua has alleged that goons who robbed revellers on Ngong Road over the weekend were working in coordination with police officers.
