DCI Probes Link Between Dr Mutiso Murder and Kyalo Mbobu Shooting - August 2026

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is exploring a potential connection between the murder of Dr Victoria Mutiso, a mental health researcher, and the shooting of lawyer Kyalo Mbobu. A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 6, for Dr Mutiso at CITAM Valley Road in Nairobi. The family of Dr Victoria Ndetei Mutiso has chosen to forgive the individuals responsible for her death. Meanwhile, families of four missing men identified as MacMilan Kiarie, Michael Oloo, Evans Otieno, and Abdul marched through Nairobi demanding their release or appearance in court. In a separate incident, police in Eldoret arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old woman whose body was found in a gunny sack.
