Democracy for Citizen Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has accused President William Ruto of presiding over lawlessness and anarchy, citing a breakdown in law and order and alleged involvement of goons. Gachagua presented a four-year score card of the Kenya Kwanza administration during a media briefing on August 11, 2026. He also urged Ruto to suspend the Affordable Housing Levy and revise tax bands to alleviate financial pressure on Kenyan workers. Additionally, Gachagua rallies Maasai voters in Narok to unite and vote out President William Ruto and his allies in the 2027 General Election. Meanwhile, President William Ruto has declared the opposition to be in disarray, highlighting it as a contrast to the perceived unity within his government.
