Talanta Stadium Set to Host First Test Match in October - August 2026

The Raila Odinga International Talanta Stadium, a 60,000-seater facility, is now more than 94 percent complete and slated for readiness by November. The stadium is scheduled to host its first test match in October at the Talanta Sports City Complex. Kenya is simultaneously set to host the ANOCA Zone 5 Youth Games in Nairobi from August 25 to 27, bringing together athletes from 11 nations. The National Assembly has passed the Sports Amendment Bill 2026 as part of the nation's commitment to eradicating match-fixing. Additionally, St Anthony's Boys' High School and Kamusinga High School will compete in an all-Kenyan final at the East Africa School Games.
