The Ministry of Education has approved a nationwide initiative allowing National Registration Bureau officers to issue national identity cards to secondary school students aged 18 and above. This measure aims to ensure all eligible Kenyans obtain IDs before the 2027 General Election.

The Kenyan government has disbursed Ksh850.7 million to nearly half a million households under the Cash Transfer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (CT-OVC) Programme.

• A total of Ksh850,696,000 was disbursed to 425,348 households.
• The funds were disbursed by Gender, Culture and Children Services Cabinet Secretary Hanna Wendot Cheptumo.
