The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued a warning to Kenyans, especially youth, about a disturbing TikTok network allegedly used to lure victims into crime, including sexual assault and robbery. Three suspects have been arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, for allegedly operating a TikTok-based scheme that lured young women into sexual assaults and robberies. The accused are believed to have used an anonymous TikTok account to arrange meetings that turned violent. The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has issued a stern warning to Kenyans regarding a social media scam involving fraudulent driving licence fees, with fraudsters posing as NTSA agents using fake posters to charge exorbitant amounts for driving licences.
