• Key announcements are expected regarding the pricing and availability of the Surface Laptop Ultra and Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, both equipped with Nvidia's new RTX Spark chip.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 FE, an upgrade to the Galaxy S25 FE, with significant differences in processing power, battery life, and software capabilities.

• The Galaxy S26 FE features an Exynos 2500 (3nm) chip, offering improved speed and efficiency, while the Galaxy S25 FE uses an Exynos 2400 (4nm).
• Samsung Electronics East Africa recommends the Galaxy S26 FE at KES 103,100, while it can be found for around KES 81,000, compared to the S25 FE which ranges from KES 69,000 to KES 82,000.
• Despite the upgrade, the Galaxy S26 FE has a reduced USB-C port speed (USB 2.0 vs USB 3.2) and drops wired DeX support, while both models will receive Android 16 and Android 17 respectively, with One UI 9 coming to both.

OPPO has announced the stable rollout schedule for ColorOS 17, based on Android 17, for its devices and those from OnePlus and realme. The updates begin on October 8 and will continue into the first quarter of 2027.

• A total of 112 devices, including 90 phones, 17 tablets, and 5 watches, are slated to receive the update.
• The rollout plan is the first to feature a unified schedule for OPPO, OnePlus, and realme devices.
