Honor has launched three new smartphones in Beijing: the Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro Max, and Magic 9 Super Edition, with the latter featuring an 11,000mAh battery and a cooling fan.

• The Magic 9 Super Edition is the most affordable, starting at approximately USD 670 (KES 87,000).
• Honor has only confirmed plans to sell the Pro Max outside of China so far.
• The Magic 9 Super Edition includes a cooling fan for sustained performance, a feature not present in the other two models.

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A08, an upgrade to its budget-friendly A-series, featuring a larger battery and improved durability.

• The Galaxy A08 boasts a 6,000mAh battery and IP64 dust and water resistance.
• It comes with Android 17 out of the box and will receive security updates until late 2032.
• The device retains the same processor and camera setup as its predecessor, the Galaxy A07.

Honor has launched its new clip-on telephoto lenses, the G500 (500mm) and G200 (200mm), for its Magic 9 series phones, now available in China.

• The G500 lens, designed for the Magic 9 Pro Max, costs approximately USD 370 (KES 48,300) with an imaging grip, while the G200 lens for the Magic 9 is priced at around USD 150 (KES 19,300).
• A Photography Master Kit bundle, including both lenses and a 1TB Magic 9 Pro Max, is priced at approximately USD 1,640 (KES 212,000).
• These lenses offer optical zoom to enhance photography capabilities beyond the phone's built-in zoom, with the G500 providing up to 5.88x optical magnification on the Pro Max.
