The Court of Appeal has halted the eviction of a private firm, Jihan Freighters Limited, by Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) regarding a warehouse designated for national fertiliser distribution.

• The property in dispute is an 18-acre parcel located along Machakos Road, with a facility size of 35,167 square feet.
• Judge Stephen Kibunja emphasized that continuing the eviction would lead to irreparable harm and significant financial distress for the private firm and its employees.
• KRC contends the eviction was due to breaches of the tenancy agreement, including improper use and unauthorized sub-letting of the premises.
