- The 23.5 km project is financed by a loan from China’s EXIM Bank.
- The contract signing was witnessed by Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, with representatives from Stecol Corporation and the Director General of KURA, Eng. Silas Kinoti, present.
- The road will be upgraded to a four-lane dual carriageway featuring service lanes, pedestrian walkways, and six footbridges, and is expected to be completed within 36 months.
