Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has condemned the rise in online harassment of children belonging to public officials, deeming it a dire issue that requires urgent action.

• Ryan Kimutai Lagat, the son of Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat, recently had his personal information leaked online, leading to threats against him.
• Alai has reached out to various authorities, including the Inspector General of Police and the Data Protection Commissioner, urging them to protect children from such abuse.
• He cited violations of the Constitution of Kenya and existing laws like the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act which should safeguard against these actions.
