The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory warning of strong winds and large waves affecting 15 counties from June 13 to June 18, which may cause significant damage and marine disruptions.

Strong winds exceeding 30 knots (15.4 m/s) and wave heights of more than 2.8 metres are expected, particularly along the Coast and North-Eastern regions.
Key regions include Lamu, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Kwale.
The advisory indicates a 33 to 66 per cent chance of these adverse weather conditions occurring, urging residents to take precautions.
