The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) has closed down a total of 728 health facilities nationwide, including 394 in Nairobi, as part of a crackdown on non-compliance with health regulations.

• As a result of inspections, 301 facilities were also downgraded for failing to meet operational standards.
