The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has introduced a new answer shading format for the upcoming 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA).

• Students will now be required to shade their answers in circles instead of drawing lines.
• The changes were announced in a statement on June 24, 2023, aimed at streamlining the examination process.
• KNEC has made sample Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets available online to help students prepare.
