BAT Kenya has achieved a **54 percent** reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions for 2024, surpassing its **2030** target of **50 percent** according to its recent Sustainability Report revealed at its **73rd Annual General Meeting**.

• Sh145 million was invested in solar energy, boosting on-site electricity generation to **1,400-kilowatt peak (KwP)**.
• Crispin Achola, Managing Director of BAT Kenya, highlighted the company’s dedication to sustainability and social initiatives.
• Over **98 percent** of contracted farmers grew alternative crops last year, and the company trains women in its farming community through the **Sh10 million** Rural Women’s Development Programme.
