The High Court of Kenya has extended a temporary order preventing the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) from blocking live broadcasting of ongoing protests. The court will reconvene on October 27, 2025 to address cases brought by several advocacy groups.

• The order remains in effect until the cases by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), Kenya Editorial Guild (KEG), and Katiba Institute are resolved.
• Justice Chacha Mwita and Justice John Chigiti are overseeing the legal proceedings concerning media freedoms.
• The CA faced legal challenges for violating constitutional rights related to freedom of expression and assembly.
