The Harambee Stars are set to make their debut in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) starting on August 2, co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

• Kenya is participating for the first time, having qualified as a host nation.
• Benni McCarthy, appointed as head coach, has named a provisional squad of 35 players from the FKF Premier League.
• They will compete in Group A against former champions Morocco, DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia, with their opening match on August 3 against DR Congo.
