The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has initiated a directive to validate used vehicle importation documents to combat the use of forged documents and ensure all imported vehicles are under eight years old.
- Validation exercise starts on July 14 with a fee of Ksh12,000 for document authentication.
- Motorists in Nairobi should validate documents at Flamingo Towers, and in Mombasa at KEBS offices opposite Bliss Medical Centre.
- Only used vehicles with validated documents will undergo inspection by KEBS after July 14, 2025.
