Farmers in Machakos County are encouraged to adopt biological pesticides to mitigate climate change and reduce environmental harm from chemical pesticides, as highlighted in a recent training session.

• 30 farmers participated in the training organized by Mount Kenya University and the University of Nairobi.
• Prof. Cecilia Moraa Onyango, an associate professor at University of Nairobi, emphasized cost savings and ecosystem protection through biological pesticides.
• The project, titled "Advancement and adaptation of agricultural biologicals," is supported by the National Research Fund to promote sustainable farming practices across sub-Saharan Africa.
