A third suspect has been charged in the murder of 17-year-old Gaala Adan in Wajir, a case highlighting child marriage and gender-based violence in refugee communities.

• Mussa Sheikh, the third suspect, stands accused alongside Mohammed Kassim Tiffow and Adan Mohammed Ahmed, who are already facing charges.
• The murder occurred on March 22, 2025, after Gaala was married to Tiffow, her 40-year-old husband, on February 22, 2025.
• All three accused have pleaded not guilty and were granted bail of Sh1 million each; the hearing is set for October 7 and 8.
