The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has successfully recovered a parcel of government housing land in Kitale valued at Ksh65 Million, following a court ruling that deemed its previous allocation illegal.

• This 1.732-acre land, originally designated for government housing since 1928, was unlawfully allocated to the late Charles Lugano.
• The court, presided over by Justice Dr. Fredrick Nyagaka, ordered the land's return to the government and awarded the EACC Ksh3 Million in damages.
• The former government house on the land, used by the Chief Magistrate, was illegally demolished despite preservation orders in place.
