The Court of Appeal has issued a ruling granting control of the Road Maintenance Fuel Levy (RMLF) funds to county governments for a period of 12 months, following a dispute over fund allocation.

• Ksh10,522,211,853 is expected to be disbursed to county governments by June 30.
• Ruling was delivered by Justices Musinga, Odunga, and Nyamweya, upholding a previous High Court decision that quashed actions by the National Assembly.
• The Road Maintenance Levy Fund is vital for road maintenance and was established in 1993.
