Police in Murang’a County disrupted a planned political rally by allies of Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua for the second consecutive week on Sunday, using teargas and blocking their procession.

• Chaos erupted after a church service at AIPCA Christ the King Church in Kahuro, Kigumo Constituency.
• Among the legislators present were Senators John Methu (Nyandarua) and Joe Nyutu (Murang’a).
• Gachagua, currently on a US tour, condemned the incident as "barbaric, dictatorial violence" on his official Facebook page.
• He accused President Ruto of having no intention to implement the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) recommendations.
