The Kenyan government is nearing completion of the Diani Airport expansion in Kwale County, a project aimed at boosting tourism and trade in the coastal region. Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo announced that the new apron is 90% complete, with the new taxiway expected to finish construction within two weeks.

• The airport's runway, extended by 400 metres last year, is fully functional and can now accommodate larger aircraft, positioning Diani as a key aviation hub.
