The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has urged all Kenya motor vehicle and motorcycle owners to update their vehicle records and tax status using a new online tool. This initiative, announced by Director General George Njao, aims to streamline record-keeping and is free of charge.
- Record updates are free, but a duplicate logbook application after the update will cost KSh 2550.
- The process requires submitting a duty record update request letter, copies of IDs, original logbook, KRA entry document, and duty payment receipt at the nearest NTSA office.
- The NTSA expects to complete the update process within seven working days, with logbook generation taking an additional three working days.
