The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has launched nationwide compliance checks for drivers and passengers, effective Thursday, July 31. The campaign targets various infractions to enhance road safety in Kenya.
- NTSA issued 11 advisories for motor vehicle owners and drivers, including mandatory valid insurance and roadworthiness.
- Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) and commercial vehicles must have functional speed limiters and transmit data to NTSA systems, alongside valid inspection certificates.
- Passengers received 5 advisories, notably to always wear seatbelts and report reckless drivers, also urged to use the NTSA Free Mobile App to verify PSV licenses.
