A section of Kenyan Members of Parliament (MPs) plan to summon Auditor General Nancy Gathungu to address her report alleging misuse of National Government-Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) bursary allocations for 2023/2024. The MPs, led by Chairman of the Decentralised Funds Accounts Committee Gideon Mulyungi, vehemently deny direct involvement in fund implementation, asserting their role is oversight.

• The Auditor General's report highlighted alleged irregularities including Ksh44 million unaccounted for by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Ksh52 million by Langata MP Felix Odiwuor in bursaries.
• The MPs maintain that Fund Account Managers, not MPs, are responsible for the day-to-day management and distribution of NG-CDF monies.
• The Decentralised Funds Accounts Committee will summon the Auditor General to provide clarification on recurrent issues within her reports.
