The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has issued a five-day weather forecast warning of continued cold, cloudy conditions and increased rainfall across several regions of Kenya from August 1 to August 5, 2025. Residents are advised to prepare for strong winds and significant temperature variations, with some areas experiencing very low night temperatures.
- Strong southerly to south-easterly winds exceeding 25 knots (approximately 46 km/h) are expected in the Coast, South-eastern Lowlands, North-eastern Kenya, and North-western Kenya.
- The forecast was issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) on July 31.
- Nairobi and the Highlands East of the Rift Valley will experience daytime temperatures between 26°C and 27°C, with lows ranging from 6°C to 11°C.
