Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali has revealed a serious health condition that forced him to step away from politics for nearly nine months, almost claiming his life. He announced his recovery and return to public life on Saturday, August 2.

• Ali underwent three knee surgeries between December 2024 and May 2025: two in Kenya and one in India.
• The MP suffered a knee injury during the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games in Mombasa in late 2024.
• He expects a full recovery by December, stating he has "started walking" and needs "another four or six months to fully recover."
