Kirinyaga residents are alarmed by a surge in insecurity after a gang of over 15 individuals raided Mburi Coffee Factory in Gichugu Constituency, tying up watchmen and stealing bags of coffee. This marks the third coffee factory hit by thieves in the region recently.

• Key people involved: Joseph Muchiri (Mburi Coffee Factory manager), Peter Chomba Mwaniki (night watchman), Charles Kariuki Gachoki (Mirichi Coffee Cooperative Society member), and Muriithi George (Mburi Coffee Factory member)
• Previous Incidents: Togonye Coffee Factory and Gikumbo Coffee Factory were also raided in the past month.
