The Kenya Meteorological Department forecasts prolonged rainfall in four regions of Kenya between Tuesday, August 5, and Saturday, August 9. These areas include parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Southeastern Lowlands, and the Rift Valley.
- Counties like Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi will experience sunny mornings, afternoon showers, and cloudy nights, with temperatures ranging from 6°C to 27°C.
- Strong southerly to south-easterly winds, exceeding 25 knots, are expected in Coastal regions, Southeastern Lowlands, and North-Eastern and North-Western regions.
- Rain and thunderstorms are predicted for Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot counties, with temperatures between 7°C and 30°C.
