Kenya is poised to host the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) games in Kakamega from August 14-23, aiming to reclaim the overall trophy from Uganda. Having played second fiddle to Uganda for the past four championships, Kenya seeks to dominate across all disciplines and reassert its regional sports powerhouse status.

• In 2023, Uganda secured the overall trophy with 13 gold, 14 silver, and 11 bronze medals, while Kenya obtained 11 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze.
• The last time Kenya won the overall trophy was in 2019.
