The Ministry of Health has reinstated biometric verification for Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) claims, abandoning the previous one-time password (OTP) authentication method, in an effort to combat systemic fraud and improve service delivery, though a new digital transformation has led to widespread confusion and delays, leaving patients stranded.
