Former Mathare Member of Parliament Steven Kariuki has launched the Kenya Moja Movement Party, inviting aspirants for upcoming by-elections and the 2027 General Election. This announcement comes as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) confirmed elections will proceed as scheduled.

• Steven Kariuki received his Certificate of Registration from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) for the Kenya Moja Movement Party.
• The IEBC, through Chairperson Erastus Ethekon, affirmed that 24 by-elections are scheduled before year-end, with the schedule to be released within a week.
• The IEBC's confirmation came during a consultative roundtable to review collaboration with media during the 2022 General Elections.
