Kenyan MPs are investigating the irregular transfer of a Ksh24 billion government land parcel located near the UN Headquarters and US Embassy in Nairobi. The land, originally belonging to the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET), was controversially transferred despite reports of a lost title deed.
- The National Assembly’s Public Investment Committee on Education and Governance, chaired by Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, questioned KSTVET Chief Executive Edwin Tarno regarding the missing title deed.
- The Auditor-General Nancy Gathungu revealed the land's title was transferred to the Treasury CS as a trustee for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 16, 2022, after the original certificate of lease was reported lost on February 2, 2021.
